Method
- Gather all your ingredients and prep your workspace before mixing. Finely mince the onion and garlic.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, Worcestershire sauce, and a splash of water to add moisture.
- Pour the breadcrumbs into the wet mixture and let them soak for about 30 seconds to hydrate.
- Add salt, black pepper, paprika, minced garlic, minced onion, and grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl. Stir gently until evenly distributed.
- Place the ground turkey on top of the seasoned mixture. Gently combine everything with your hands using a folding motion until just combined without overworking.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with olive oil to prevent sticking and help browning.
- Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, portion the mixture into 24 equal pieces about walnut-sized. Roll each ball gently and place on the baking sheet about an inch apart.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Bake the turkey bites for 16 to 18 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the bites to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces such as marinara, sriracha mayo, buffalo sauce, honey mustard, or tzatziki for best flavor experience. These turkey bites can be frozen unbaked and baked later or frozen after cooking. For freezer cooking, add 2 to 3 extra minutes to baking time when cooking from frozen.
