  • 1 fresh lemon cut into quarters
  • 1 medium cucumber peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger peeled and sliced thin
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves optional but recommended
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Ice cubes for serving

Method
 

  1. Wash your lemon, cucumber, and ginger under cool running water, then pat dry to prevent excess moisture.
  2. Slice the lemon into quarters, leaving the skin on to preserve antioxidants and oils.
  3. Peel the cucumber with a vegetable peeler to remove the bitter outer layer, then chop into rough one-inch chunks.
  4. Peel the ginger with the edge of a spoon to remove the thin skin, then slice into thin matchsticks.
  5. Pour filtered water into the blender, then add lemon quarters, cucumber pieces, ginger slices, mint leaves, and a pinch of sea salt.
  6. Blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until the mixture is smooth and uniform in color.
  7. Optional: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a serving pitcher to remove pulp.
  8. Add ice cubes to glasses, pour the drink over the ice, and serve immediately for best freshness.

Notes

For a smoother texture, strain the drink after blending. Consume fresh within 24 hours for optimal flavor and nutrition. Freeze leftover drink in ice cube trays for convenient future use.
