Method
- Spread graham cracker crumbs on a small shallow dish or plate. Rub the rim of your martini glass with a lime wedge to create a moist surface, then dip the glass rim into the crumbs, turning it gently so the crumbs coat evenly all around.
- Add a generous handful of ice to your cocktail shaker or mason jar.
- Measure out 2 ounces of vodka using a jigger and pour it into the shaker.
- Measure 1 ounce of fresh key lime juice and add it to the shaker.
- Pour 0.5 ounces of heavy cream and 0.5 ounces of sweetened condensed milk into the shaker.
- If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 ounces of simple syrup now.
- Put the lid on your shaker and shake vigorously for about 10 to 15 seconds to emulsify the ingredients.
- Using a strainer, pour the cocktail slowly into your prepared martini glass, leaving the ice behind in the shaker, to preserve the creamy foam on top.
- Place a lime wheel on the rim or drop it into the drink as garnish. Serve immediately while cold.
Notes
Use fresh key lime juice whenever possible for best flavor. Chill the martini glass for at least 15 minutes before serving. Shake vigorously for smooth texture. You can batch the cocktail base (without ice) up to 4 hours in advance, then shake with ice before serving.
