Method
- Slice your cucumber into 4 to 5 thick rounds, roughly half an inch thick.
- Fill your rocks glass with ice and set it aside to chill.
- Place the cucumber slices directly into your cocktail shaker.
- Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, press the cucumber slices down gently about 4 to 5 times to release juice without crushing.
- Add 2 ounces premium silver tequila, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 0.75 ounce agave nectar, and a pinch of sea salt into the shaker.
- Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker, filling it about halfway.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
- Using a cocktail strainer, pour the drink into the chilled glass filled with fresh ice, leaving the muddled cucumber solids behind.
- Garnish with a thin cucumber slice on the rim or dropped into the drink and serve immediately.
Notes
Don't skip the pinch of salt; it amplifies all the flavors in the cocktail and enhances the cucumber's natural taste.
